Dissatisfaction about eBook
Recently one question is so often asked that eBook readers save our forests, as the number of books printed rises exponentially. while my question is can eBook reader really change our reading experience.
To enable the public to accept eBooks, electronic equipment manufacturers are trying to restore the reading experience of paper books. Whether imitating the paper screen in principle from the display E Ink, or various types of reading software provided by the flip animation, are a product of such thinking.
But always there are some dissatisfactions, complaining that there is no flip of the hand book. Indeed, the physical buttons stiff jerky feedback and touch the glass, and the page can not be grazed the edge of pleasure than the fingertips.
Researchers at Osaka University bring with a Paranga, which solves the pwoblem. You can turn paper book with a similar way to achieve eBook page.
Paranga book by the side of the roll sensor simulation to determine the speed of page scrolling speed.
In addition to enhancing the feel of opening book to do so outside, it also provides a good way to quickly flip rough. Currently Paranga is not very precise, but in the future it will be improved through the design to achieve accurate reduction of the point of turning each page.
Paranga sensitive paper can turn the pages of the book, and the speed of page and then implemented on the page eBook reader, but its accuracy is not enough inductive sensors turn a single page and accurately reflected in the eBook reader .
Paranga designers did not regard it as a simple Geeky toys, they think Paranga may eventually be a use with accessories and iPad. I’d think this thing should only be a plaything in the creative market.
What’s the dissatisfaction about eBook next? I guess in the future it will be on display at CES by the smell of artificial synthetic technology (end of page) to restore the paper’s taste.
One more feature function need to be addressed, with WiFi-ready ebook reader, that means anywhere you go, you carries a whole Internet library with you.
